Health Care in the Northeast Kingdom
In the 55 communities that comprise the Northeast Kingdom, we have a strong core of healthcare providers, social service agencies, educational and governmental organizations, and engaged individuals. We are committed to harnessing the collective capacity of these local leaders, partner organizations, and community members to build a sustainable framework to meet our mission for health.
Included within our tri-county region are two excellent community-based hospitals, Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH), based out of St. Johnsbury, and North Country Hospital, located in Newport. NVRH serves Caledonia, southern Orleans and southern Essex Counties. North Country primarily serves central and northern Orleans and central and northern Essex counties.
In addition to these two stellar health-care facilities, the Northeast Kingdom also features a number of health-care and dental-care services sprinkled throughout the Northeast Kingdom through Northern Counties Health Care.
