The Northeast Kingdom Chamber Board of Trustees consists of area business people who represent the diverse membership of the chamber and are the heart and soul of our organization. Each board member is voted on by the membership at the annual meeting. The board meets once a month to foster the growth and development of the chamber. Members are welcome to attend the first part of board meetings to discuss issues and ideas with the group.

Legislative Breakfast

The program starts with a short update from the chamber, continues with legislator reports addressing key issues and concludes wih a question-and-answer period at the end of the event.

Expected issues to be discussed include health care, labor issues, permitting concerns, housing economic and workforce development issues, taxes and fiscal policies.

The event is sponsored by the Passumpic Savings Bank, Northeast Kingdom Human Services and the Green Mountain Association of Realtors.

Willoughby State Forest Equestrian Access Expansion

We are excited to announce an important opportunity for public engagement regarding the proposed amendment of the Willoughby State Forest Long Range Management Plan, specifically focusing on expanding equestrian access within the forest. 

Developed in collaboration with the Vermont Horse Council, this proposed amendment seeks to enhance equestrian opportunities in Willoughby State Forest while ensuring sustainable land management practices. The key aspects of the amendment include plans to open approximately 14.5 miles of existing roads and trails for equestrian use and to establish a new overnight parking area in the southern portion of the forest.

Country-crooner and bluegrass picker extraordinaire visits Cabot for a rare solo performance on May 9th. Brett has been a mainstay in the Burlington music community for decades. He spent years hosting the ever-popular "Honky Tonk Tuesdays" at Radio Bean. The number of bands he has worked with over the years is staggering, including but not limited to the Chrome Cowboys, Belle Pines, Cider House Boys, viperHouse, Mike Gordon And Ramble Dove, Whiskey Likkers, The Decentz, Fortune Tellers, All Fall Down and a great many more. Brett sings with the pep, energy and tone that simply screams bluegrass, in all the best ways. While Brett is decades deep in the industry and still sings like it's day one. He has cited a number of influences for his style, including George Jones, Merle Haggard, The Delmore Brothers, Bill Monroe, Johnny Cash and his own mother.
